Data Protection

As part of our recruitment process, Skillnet Ireland collects and processes personal information relating to job applicants. We are committed to being transparent about how we collect and use that data and to meeting our data protection obligations. During the application and recruitment process, we collect a range of information about you.

This includes:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Contact details (email address and telephone number) 
  • Details of your qualifications, skills, experience and employment history
  • Information about your current level of remuneration, including benefit entitlements
  • Whether or not you have a disability for which we need to make reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process
  • Information about your entitlement to work in Ireland.

Applications are taken via an online application form only. You will receive an acknowledgement from us on receipt of your application. Your application will be reviewed, and should your skill set, and experience match the current vacancy, your application will be progressed to interview stage. We hold applications and additional information which may be obtained during the interview process such as interview notes, education qualifications, electronically and/or manually. Our general retention period for applications and interview notes is 15 months and documents are then securely destroyed. We may also collect personal data about you from third parties, such as references supplied by former employers. We will seek information from third parties only once a provisional job offer has been made and we will inform you that we are doing so.
